Here is a cute craft idea for a baby shower decoration. It’s a spin off from the baby shower diaper cake. This diaper wreath is very simple to make.
You can start with a simple wire hanger or purchase a wire wreath form. If you are making this as a gift as well as a decoration, You can wrap the hanger with baby blankets or cloth diapers, onesies, or any other type of clothing.
Be careful to make it the same width all the way around. Wrap each diaper around the hanger then secure with curling ribbon. Continue around until the whole ring is full.
Attach random baby items around the wreath to decorate it. Baby shower ribbon would be great to accent it if you know what the baby will be. Use a teddy bear instead of a bow to complete the look.
Wrapping a beautiful package for Christmas can be as unique as you are. I must admit that I adore the traditional red velvet ribbon and a huge bow on a green or white box. But these fabulous gifts are bursting with trendy colors and topped with mini ornaments.
Chartreuse and coral look excellent together! Notice that they have used two different textures of ribbon with the mini ornaments to add texture to their creative wrapping style. The Coral bow tie on the chartreuse paper is a combination of grosgrain ribbon and satin ribbon in complimentary shades of coral and pink.
Wider satin topped with narrower sheer ribbon would also add depth and texture to your simple bow. The chartreuse bows have been created using wide satin and narrower velvet ribbon then topped with mini glass ornaments. They have even added shiny with matte finish balls. Beautiful wrapping style that will work for any special occasion you have.
Aren’t these decorative packages cute? Candy striped ribbon with a huge lolly-pop for added pizazz!
Kids love candy! Presents should be fun to look at and fun to open. You have probably spent a lot of money on the gift in side. So why not make the outside just as important?
This would look great as a Christmas gift or all occasion gifts as well. The candy cane is always a festive touch as a gift topper. Pair it with red and white polka dot ribbon and it is sure to be a hit!
Add lots of color when wrapping. Using colorful candy is a great way to accent your basic ribbon bow on any gift. Foil wrapped kisses could easily be attached to ribbon with double stick tape squares.
Have fun wrapping and while you are at it.. don’t forget the REAL reason for the season!
Adding decorative ribbon spices up any table setting. As you are finishing up your Christmas wrapping, be sure to replenish your ribbon stock. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
This beautiful table is sweetly enhanced by adding little ribbon touches everywhere. Delicate ribbon bows tied around the cookie treats match the satin ribbon bow on the napkins. A simple white table cloth can be decorated by streams of ribbon in random places. It can be held in place by the plates.
Be sure to keep all ribbon away from the candle flame. Add some Valentine’s Day candy all around the table. This table is almost too pretty to add the food!

It is fun to decorate the tree each year. Some people decorate with a different theme each year, I have enough ornaments to do that, but they are all special. I have even begun leaving off the ones that have less if any sentiment so the tree does not look cluttered. Here is a fabulous way to make use of all the glass balls you have accumulated through the year.

This beautiful ornament wreath just takes minutes to make and it’s a way to use and display some of your favorite ornaments that you don’t want to get rid of but also don’t want on the tree.
Start with a wire hanger, bend it to a circle, use a glue gun and as many ornaments as you have. This wreath has about 80 ornaments on it.
If you don’t have left over ornaments,
you can easily and inexpensively get some at discount stores. You may also want to use plastic if you have young kids.
Remove the cap to the ornaments and hot glue it on.
Begin stringing the ornaments on one at a time, alternate the colors and sizes.
Use smaller ones to fill in spaces and gaps. Twist the top of the hanger back together. You can use the hanger top to hang it on the inside of any door or mirror. The picture uses a wide double faced, nylon satin ribbon to loop around the wreath and disguise the hanger top with a bow! Beautiful and festive!
If you like to scrap book, then this craft will be a fun one for you! You probably have most of the items needed already too.
Stock up on some wonderful decorative ribbon, holiday plaid ribbon, checked ribbon and ribbon for all occasions because you can customize these bags to any occasion.
Hobby and craft stores sell these plain gift bags in bulk at whole sale prices. These are decorated for Christmas and they have done a great job. They have made them look like there are little wrapped packages in various ways on the front of each bag.
Use complimentary tissue paper to conceal the gift. And every one will want to know where you bought these great gift bags.
Who knows, you could even start a business making them.
Are you a collector? It seems that we all collect something special. Some people collect pictures, while others are happy with the memories and less clutter. Some people collect angels, or various animals, sports memorabilia, baseball caps, or antique furniture.
I knew a gal that collected all the corks from any holiday wine bottle, or anniversary, wedding, imported, or any special occasion that there was a wine or champagne bottle opened. She stored them in silver buckets, and wicker baskets and such. I think her mother also collected corks because she had all the corks from the family Thanksgiving dinners and such. What I remember most is she had a lot of corks! They were everywhere!
This wreath would be a great way for her to enjoy her collection and have less clutter too! This wine colored gold edged satin ribbon bow is lovely. I think that a beautiful wine colored velvet ribbon bow would be very festive too!
You would simply begin hot gluing the corks onto a wreath form. Put your favorite ones on top. She has so many she could probably separate them into groups, holiday, romantic, family, work, and other times and make more than one wreath. She could give them as gifts to family. She could use others corks and make them a special wreath too.
Curling ribbon, silver glitter and glam and glitz come together for a fabulous New Year’s Celebration table. Black velvet napkins, with black and white place settings are so elegant placed atop the metallic knitting ribbon crochet round place mat.
You can set a beautiful table like this by adding a few simple decorations to your china. Cutting and silver metallic curling ribbon in 12 inch strips and slightly curling them help add the Wow factor to your table.
Fill some glass vases with sliver and white Christmas balls and lay some tiny random ones around the glasses. If you have black or white pillar candles, you can brush some water based craft glue on the sides and roll it in a plate of glitter to glitz up the candles you already have. Be sure to not use petroleum based glue as it will be flammable as the candle burns.
Have fun decorating for the holidays and don’t forget to stock up on lots of wholesale ribbon!
This style of wreath can be made for any holiday! I love the use of striped ribbon, satin ribbon, lace ribbon, mixed with complimentary colors. It give it texture and eye appeal! This would look great in Christmas colors, Halloween or fall polka dot ribbon colors, even in red white and blue patriotic colors!
Begin by selecting your color pallet. You can use any texture, design and color ribbon since it will be cut into six inch strips.
This wreath does not need a ribbon bow since it is all made from ribbon but you can add a wide ribbon bow to hang it from.
You will also need a wire wreath form or coat hanger. Add the ribbon by tying the strips to the wire frame in random order. Be sure to distribute the color evenly. Keep pushing the ribbon tightly together and keep it going in all directions but the back side since it will be against the wall or door.
These glass ornament wreaths with vintage ribbon are amazing! I may actually make one with all red satin ornament balls I have no more room for on our tree.
There are several ways to make this craft. One requires a glue gun and a foam wreath form. You remove the loop from all the ornaments, make sure the tops are all well attached. Wrap ribbon around wreath, slightly overlapping the edges to completely cover. Hot-glue to secure. Hot-glue the large ball ornaments to the wreath, positioning the balls at various locations and distributing colors evenly. Continue adding smaller ornaments, hot-gluing the balls to the wreath or to each other. Use the smallest ornaments to fill open areas.
Another way requires a wire coat hanger. Leave the loops on the ornaments and begin threading them on the hanger randomly. Finally use vintage ribbon to make a loop and a bow to hang the wreath.
