Homemade Gifts for the one who has everything
Whether you are gifting a neighbor, friend, teacher or family member, they will love the variety of goodies you can display on a platter. Wrap it in plastic wrap and use a pre-tied bow or to wrap around the platter. You can also use a satin ribbon then add a bow on one end. This is also a lovely way to bring goodies to a gathering when you don’t want to come empty handed. This would make a great welcome to the neighborhood gift. Maybe you are making a meal for a friend who is under the weather and want to take some treats for dessert. This will brighten the spirits of receiver.

Pet Gift Ideas
As I mentioned in an earlier post, the idea of remembering a friend or family members pet during a gift exchange will excite the pet owner. There are so many choices out there and it can be as simple as a few milk bone treats or designer doggie biscuits wrapped up with ribbon. This idea is so sweet. They are gourmet doggie cookies elegantly tied up with a grosgrain ribbon and boxed in a simple brown box accented with tissue paper and of course finished off with a ribbon bow. Your friends will love your thoughtfulness.

Package for the Pooch
I love this idea. The unique way of using non-traditional colors of satin ribbon to accent these simple boxed gifts is so exciting. A majority of your friends these days have pets that are a part of the family, not just a fixture around the house. Don’t forget to remember these special family members with a gift too. You can plan ahead and order a name tag for their collar that can also be used for a gift tag. When going for a special visit with a friend, why not wrap up some treats in a little box for their pet too. They will really appreciate the gesture.

Gifts wrapped in the traditional Japanese wrapping called Furoshiki.
Gift wrapping refers to the act of enclosing a gift in some sort of material.
Wrapping paper is a kind of paper designed for gift wrapping. Gifts may also be wrapped in a box. They may be held closed with ribbon and topped with a decorative bow (an ornamental knot made of ribbon).
In Western culture, gifts are often wrapped in wrapping paper and accompanied by a gift note which may note the occasion, the receiver’s name and the giver’s name. In the United States, an additional 5 million tons of waste are generated over the Christmas gift-giving period; four million tons of this is wrapping paper and shopping bags.[1] Some people attempt to avoid this by unwrapping gifts with care to hopefully allow the paper to be reused, while others use decorated cloth gift sacks that can be easily reused many times.
In Chinese culture, red wrapping connotes luck.
In Japanese culture, wrapping paper and boxes are common. However, the traditional cloth wrapping called furoshiki is increasing in popularity, particularly as an ecologically friendly alternative to wrapping paper.[2]

In Korean culture, bojagi are sometimes used for gift wrapping. A yedanbo is a ceremonial gift bojagi used to wrap wedding gifts from the bride’s family to the members of the groom’s[3]
Adhesive gift wrap is a product that makes it possible for anyone to present a beautifully wrapped gift with clean, crisp edges. The wrapping paper adheres to the gift and itself so users do not have to hold the paper and gift in place as they fumble for tape. The gift wrap can also be repositioned easily until the desired look is achieved.

Red and Gold are the colors of love!
This stunning gift basket will make some body’s day!
The shimmering gold color of the basket is continued into the basket with metallic decorative shreds, a card and candies. When the deep romantic red color is added by inserting ribbon bows, flowers and more candy, this simple gift of a card, candy and a flowers is transformed into a royal delight.
Sometimes less is more, keeping the color theme to just red and gold is very pleasing to the eye.
This would be a perfect Valentine gift, or for any occasion, even when it’s “just because”.

Sweetheart Sack
Transform any sack or bag into a Sweetheart Sack. If you want to decorate a lunch bag, treat bag or a gift bag to surprise sweetie, you will only need a bag, ribbon, scrapbook supplies or construction paper, and imagination. Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon or other Novelty Ribbon would be great for this project.
You can decorate sacks for a school party and fill with goodies. Teens would appreciate one in trendy colors to take their lunch in. Or even a masculine version for the hubby will make him the envy of his piers when he opens his lunch and finds a little love note you have hidden between the sandwich and the chips. These little bags would be wonderful as a weight for a bouquet of balloons when you add some candy and a stuffed critter.

A Gift of Love, Country Style
This gift idea is all about love. Creatively packaging hearts on the inside and a heart on the outside your special someone will feel the love all wrapped up with a Country Chic Novelty red checked Ribbon.
These little hearts can be hung on your Love Tree or Valentine Tree. You can also hang them on cabinet knobs, hung with a ribbon in a window valence, or used to decorate a floral arrangement. However you choose to use these little hearts, it will be fun to give them and receive them too.
The country wrapping is brown mailing paper; you can re-use a grocery sack if you need to. Wrap the box and lid separately. The ribbon can be taped or glued inside the lid. Pull it tight and make sure the lid will fit on the box. Use decorative shred inside the box for an added country touch. Add a little bow and a heart name tag!

Once you have decided on that perfect gift for your special someone this year, Don’t just throw it into a box and stick a bow on it. Take the time to show them that they are worth your time! In this rush rush society we live in today, It is easy to just throw something in a bag and forget it. This beautiful package has been wrapped in high quality red and white striped paper. The corners are perfectly folded and taped of course. Then select Antique White Satin Ribbon to wrap around opposite the stripes. Tape the ribbon at the bottom of the package. The delicate rose can be attached with a paper clip, or a corsage pin to the ribbon. It may be easier to attach the rose to the ribbon before you fasten it. This way the ribbon will remain tight. Now you have given a thoughtful gift, selected elegant wrapping supplies, and taken EXTRA time to make the presentation part of the gift. Silver Heart Treat Box
This little box would look beautiful on a table as a wedding favor, or anniversary favor for the guests. You could put some little chocolates in it. It would also make a beautiful gift box for Valentines Day for your special someone. You could place one mini gift at every place setting.
This is a 4 inch wide papier-mâché box; you can find them in most discount stores for about $1.00.
