Spring into spring!

I love decorating for spring.  It’s been a long cold winter and its time to celebrate the new birth of life outside.  I love this idea of using antique with fresh and new.  The rustic wood window frame is being used as a shadow box shelf with this lovely spring daisy and straw flower wreath.  You can use a Styrofoam ring to keep the weight down.  Use lots of tiny silk and straw flowers to build this wreath.  Hang with a decoravie ribbon. Fresh flowers can be used, to make your own garden-fresh wreath: Dip foam in water until it’s damp but not dripping, then stand it upright in a sink for one hour to drain.  Trim each flower stem to one to two inches, and insert into foam.  Pack flowers tightly overlapping them so no foam is visible; add a wreath hook, either store-bought or fashioned from a wire.  Wrap with ribbon, and finish with a dapper neck tie knot.

Many of the items you may need to create your own version of this idea can be found on our website by clicking on the link in my post.
