Decorative Packaging

For my next few postings I will be giving you a brainstormed list of time and money saving things you can create for your wedding, be it scheduled for June ‘09 or somewhere in the more distant future.

1. Purchase plain and  inexpensive flower girl dress[es] and embellish them yourself with satin ribbon in your accent color. Add a length of ribbon around the hem or create a satin bow belt for around the middle.

2. Also for your flower girl, take a plain plastic headband and wrap it tightly with that same satin ribbon. Then add a large silk bloom that coordinates with your wedding flowers…cheap and chic!

3. Where your bridesmaids are concerned, simple elegance is key. Make each of them a wrist corsage with ribbon and a realistic looking silk flower. Let the bow’s tails hang a few inches.
