You can use leftover red Christmas ribbon, or inexpensive red or pink satin for this unique idea. Take a spool of ribbon and write love notes on it with a black sharpie, use fancy-pretty handwriting, varying sizes, caps and lower case letters to add interest. You can make it in letter form or just random sweet thoughts. Put the ribbon inside a red envelope with some hanging out or inside a ring box. When your Valentine pulls the ribbon out they will read your sweet love letter.

If you’ve taken a trip to the beach together, you could even put the ribbon inside a shell!
