THINGS YOU WILL NEED

- 1/2 yard decorative ribbon

- Scissors
- Small Decorative Stone or Flower optional
Make inexpensive flip flops look dazzling! You can customize them to any outfit.
Start with one flip flop, measure the top strap to determine the length of ribbon you will need for each flip flop.
Once you have the measurement, cut your ribbon about an inch longer so you have room for error and to hide the raw edges.
Decorate flip flops with ribbon
To prepare the ribbon apply a small drop of glue at the very end on the back side (the side you are gluing to your shoes). Fold the ribbon over to make a smooth edge at the end.
Now you will need to glue the ribbon to the strap of your flip flop. Start on the outside of the shoe and apply glue to the plastic strap of the flip flop

While the glue is still wet you will need to attach the ribbon to the plastic strap. Place this edge on the plastic strap directly above the shoe sole.
Continue pressing the ribbon into the glue on the plastic strap until you have come to the middle of the flip flop, where the strap curves back the other direction.
Now following the outer edge of the plastic strap (the edge closest to your toes) continue applying the ribbon to the plastic strap. This will leave an extra triangle of ribbon in the center of your flip flop.
You can add flowers, or buttons, or what ever embellishments you like to fit your style!
