Whether you are doing a sit-down or a dessert buffet, make your table a feast for the eyes with a well-dressed table.
This red and white theme would look lovely for a Valentines celebration!
Here is one way that can be for every day, or holidays too. Several of the items on the table are mentioned in earlier blogs.
I love these centerpieces because they use an every day item you may already have and embellish or accessorize it to fit your décor. These with vases or crocks of varying heights and widths have been wrapped with decorative ribbon in varying sizes.
Work from the bottom up to keep ribbons straight. Begin with the widest ribbon, ending with the narrowest ribbon and use double sided sticky tape to secure the ends and strategically placed squares to hold in place.
The same ribbon is used through out the table in bits and pieces to carry the same theme through out the table.
The fresh green bouquets of boxwood or juniper would also provide a wintery aroma as well as fresh green bouquets for the eyes to enjoy. You can also use silk flowers if you do not have access to fresh pine but many farmers would allow you to snip a branch or two from shrubs and trees. Moreover, if you are so far embedded into the city life, your local florist will carry these as fillers.
Don’t you just love the water glasses with the delicate polka dots? A thin ribbon could easily be wrapped around the base and gently tied with a simple bow for added flair.
